Ingenico Group and DBM Banktechnológia Ltd. announced the roll out of 136 latest-generation parking metres since June across Szeged City. The new solution equipped with Ingenico unattended terminals enables contactless payments.
Motorists used to pay for parking by purchasing tickets at the local newsstands. The new parking metres fitted with Ingenico iSelf series terminals accept, beside cash, contactless cards and NFC mobile payments. DBM Banktechnikai Ltd. was responsible for the supply and installation of metres and licence plate recognition software.
Bence Sármay, Sales Manager of Ingenico Hungary, commented: ‘Ingenico Group provides secure and future-proof payment solutions for all self-service configurations. Our iSelf range offers enhanced user experience and is suited to many industries from vending to parking, transport, petrol or retail.
We are pleased to bring contactless payment for on-street parking to the city of Szeged. Contactless payments are a natural choice for parking fee collection. We trust that consumers will enjoy this new service and plan to bring this solution to other cities in the future.’ he added.
