To celebrate European Disability Employment Week which ran from 13 to 17 November 2017, Ingenico organized events (conferences, speeches) across three of its French sites. This week helped to raise awareness among a large number of employees as to what it means to be disabled in the workplace, and to change their perceptions of disabilities in the company and in society.
Several conferences were held and speeches given throughout the week at Ingenico’s Paris, Suresnes and Valence sites, relating to lower back pain, disability 4.0 (automated objects and smart bodies) and disabled sports. It offered employees the opportunity to talk with Françoise Manent (French, European and World disabled sports shooting champion), as well as with several members of the ACBB Handi-aviron disabled rowing club, including one of the group's employees.
As part of its commitment to diversity within its teams, Ingenico showed its support for the employment and job retention of the disabled in May 2017 by signing its first Disability Agreement. This agreement represents a commitment by Ingenico and its social partners to implement a policy based around 4 specific domains: recruitment, job retention, training and raising awareness, as well as collaboration with the protected and adapted sector.
