Ingenico Extends European Roll Out of Secure Payment Service for Avis

Paris - June 20 2012. Ingenico (Euronext : FR0000125346 - ING), , the world’s leading provider of payment solutions, has extended its relationship with Avis EMEA by signing up another ten countries within the rental company’s retail network to its secure payment management system.

Ingenico secured a five year deal with Avis EMEA last year to provide a fully managed payment service including approximately 3,000 iCT250 chip and PIN terminals, transaction management delivered through Ingenico’s Axis platform, helpdesk and hardware maintenance services.

The solution will go to pilot in September with a full roll out towards the end of the year. Further to the current 12 corporate managed countries across Europe there are now 10 additional countries that will roll out the solution. These include Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Greece and Malta

Ingenico’s Axis solution is an international transaction management platform which centralises the management of transactions for large businesses, helping to control costs and provide end-to-end security and compliance with all international payment regulations and standards.

The proven solution has already been deployed as a managed service for merchants in a wide variety of sectors such as retail, hospitality, transport and fuel. Ingenico supports more than 80,000 active lanes on the Axis platform, with over 1.6 billion transactions routed in Europe every year.
