DESCRIPTION

This position is an opportunity to join Ingenico’s mission-critical Transactional Services Platform team. In line with Ingenico business evolution, new ranges of Services are being launched. These services involve payment solutions and extremely high availability requirements. The Payment System Platform is complex and includes various technologies both from a hardware and software’s perspective. The datacenters are based around the world.

The key deliverables also include the setup of processes and checks to ensure the customer SLA and performance expectations are met.

The position involves active participation in projects such as deployment of application, clustering, monitoring, backup, stress test, capacity management, documentation of work practices and active involvement in the service monitoring strategy.

• Expertise of Linux OS (RHCE is a plus)
• Strong Knowledge of IP protocols: HTTP, SNMP, SSL
• Strong knowledge of some of the following IP applications : Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, Mysql, PostgreSQL, Iptables, Puppet, SSL (stunnel, openssl), openLDAP, Rweb
• Strong scripting knowledge: Shell, Perl, Python
• Good knowledge of some monitoring tools : Nagios, Munin, Zabbix
• Good knowledge of hardware-based configuration : RAID, Remote Access Controller, Storage
• Knowledge of Load balancing and Failover: heartbeat, lvs, pacemaker, keepalived
• Networking basics knowledge (CCNA is a plus): Routing, Firewalls, NAT, VPNs

• Management and supervision of servers worldwide (hardware, OS, applications).
• Management of technical operations issues from hardware to application layers.
• Focus on Client satisfaction, Service performance and availability.
• Proven interpersonal skill in relating to programmers, network engineers and other technical people, ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Be instrumental in Platform improvement (systems and application design).
• Management of technical internal projects.
• Provider management: Datacenters, Hardware, Software, Network.
• Potential short time travels around the world.
• Educational background: Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or similar level with excellent computer and telecom background.
• Experience of 5 year or more as a System Engineer in a Linux/open source environment
