EuroCIS 2012: easycash can look back on a positive appearance at this year's event.
An abundance of interested trade visitors made this year's event the most successful EuroCIS to date. The appearance focused on the fields of mobile and multi-channel payments and loyalty schemes using smartphones. easycash was able to successfully showcase its marketability and leadership innovation to both customers and potential partners.

Customer Loyalty for Cell Phones, a New Terminal Category and Contactless Acquiring, All under One Roof
At EuroCIS 2012, easycash stayed true to its claim of offering an extensive range of payment transaction services from one single source by demonstrating a comprehensive payment portfolio. One aspect of this portfolio that attracted a lot of attention was easycash's virtual mobile customer card. Visitors to the stand were able to use their smartphones to collect bonus points, which they could then use to 'pay' for their snacks and refreshments, albeit only as an example because these were free for all guests.

easycash also showcased an extra-special type of terminal in the form of the new Ingenico iSMP, which is a synthesis of a smartphone and payment terminal. This combination of an iPhone and its innovative functions and a payment module that is just as secure as conventional devices has led to the creation of a completely new terminal category: Smart Mobile POS. The mobility, functional flexibility and security of this new terminal open up new horizons for points of sale, perfectly in line with easycash's trade fair motto of "Beyond Payments".

Another focus was contactless payment. After already offering active acquiring for MasterCard paypass and Visa payWave for some time, easycash additionally became the first network operator to meet the requirements for girogo acceptance stipulated by the German Banking Industry Committee on February 21st, 2012. The company will therefore be able to offer processing services for the girogo cards issued by the German Savings Banks Association (DSGV) in the near future. By obtaining this license, easycash has now expanded its portfolio to include all of the contactless payment standards that are currently available. In accordance with this impressive portfolio, the payment service provider from the German town of Ratingen also presented state-of-the-art NFC technology at the trade fair, explaining plans to install NFC chips as a medium for quick and secure contactless payment as standard in smartphones and many other devices in the future. The aim is to enable customers to take their payment chips with them everywhere they go, for example as components in watches or keychains. These chips will not only reduce the duration of the payment process at checkouts but also enable secure and convenient payment transactions. Together with its parent company Ingenico, easycash was recently presented with the Innovation Award 2011 by the Metro Group for an NFC pilot project in the real,- Future Store.

EuroCIS 2012 - The Benchmark for Technology in the Retail World

The EuroCIS 2012 trade fair took place in the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition grounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, between February 28th and March 1st, 2012. In comparison to the last EuroCIS event in 2010, this year's trade fair recorded an increase in visitors of close to 19%, welcoming 6400 guests through its doors. It also saw a significant surge in the number of exhibitors (2010: 190, 2012: 237).
